Stag or deer horn has been used for centuries to make stick handles. The horn is shed annually and collected by gamekeepers, then sold for stick handles and various other products. The horn is ground, sanded and polished before being fitted to a natural wooden shaft. No animals are harmed in the collection of the horn.
